詩72:1 〔所羅門的詩。〕 神阿、求你將判斷的權柄賜給王、將公義賜給王的兒子。
Give the king thy judgments, O God, and thy righteousness unto the king's son.
詩72:2 他要按公義審判你的民、按公平審判你的困苦人。
He shall judge thy people with righteousness, and thy poor with judgment.
詩72:3 大山小山、都要因公義使民得享平安。
The mountains shall bring peace to the people, and the little hills, by righteousness.
詩72:4 他必為民中的困苦人伸冤、拯救窮乏之輩、壓碎那欺壓人的。
He shall judge the poor of the people, he shall save the children of the needy, and shall break in pieces the oppressor.
詩72:5 太陽還存、月亮還在、人要敬畏你、直到萬代。
They shall fear thee as long as the sun and moon endure, throughout all generations.
詩72:6 他必降臨、像雨降在已割的草地上、如甘霖滋潤田地。
He shall come down like rain upon the mown grass: as showers that water the earth.
詩72:7 在他的日子義人要發旺、大有平安、好像月亮長存。
In his days shall the righteous flourish; and abundance of peace so long as the moon endureth.
詩72:8 他要執掌權柄、從這海直到那海、從大河直到地極。
He shall have dominion also from sea to sea, and from the river unto the ends of the earth.
詩72:9 住在曠野的、必在他面前下拜．他的仇敵必要餂土。
They that dwell in the wilderness shall bow before him; and his enemies shall lick the dust.
詩72:10 他施和海島的王要進貢．示巴和西巴的王要獻禮物。
The kings of Tarshish and of the isles shall bring presents: the kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer gifts.
詩72:11 諸王都要叩拜他、萬國都要事奉他。
Yea, all kings shall fall down before him: all nations shall serve him.
詩72:12 因為窮乏人呼求的時候、他要搭救、沒有人幫助的困苦人、他也要搭救。
For he shall deliver the needy when he crieth; the poor also, and him that hath no helper.
詩72:13 他要憐恤貧寒和窮乏的人、拯救窮苦人的性命。
He shall spare the poor and needy, and shall save the souls of the needy.
詩72:14 他要救贖他們脫離欺壓和強暴．他們的血在他眼中看為寶貴、
He shall redeem their soul from deceit and violence: and precious shall their blood be in his sight.
詩72:15 他們要存活。示巴的金子要奉給他．人要常常為他禱告、終日稱頌他。
And he shall live, and to him shall be given of the gold of Sheba: prayer also shall be made for him continually; and daily shall he be praised.
詩72:16 在地的山頂上、五穀必然茂盛．〔五穀必然茂盛或作有一把五穀〕所結的穀實、要響動如利巴嫩的樹林．城裡的人、要發旺如地上的草。
There shall be an handful of corn in the earth upon the top of the mountains; the fruit thereof shall shake like Lebanon: and they of the city shall flourish like grass of the earth.
詩72:17 他的名要存到永遠、要留傳如日之久．人要因他蒙福．萬國要稱他有福。
His name shall endure for ever: his name shall be continued as long as the sun: and men shall be blessed in him: all nations shall call him blessed.
詩72:18 獨行奇事的耶和華以色列的 神、是應當稱頌的．
Blessed be the Lord God, the God of Israel, who only doeth wondrous things.
詩72:19 他榮耀的名、也當稱頌、直到永遠．願他的榮耀、充滿全地。阿們、阿們。
And blessed be his glorious name for ever: and let the whole earth be filled with his glory; Amen, and Amen.
詩72:20 耶西的兒子大衛的祈禱完畢。
The prayers of David the son of Jesse are ended.
